Cardiology.org is a web site associated with the Clinical Exercise Physiology Consortium at Stanford and the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Medical Center. It’s purposes are educational and to let people know about us, what we have done and what is going on now. The consortium includes Dr. Euan Ashley, Dr. Jon Myers, PhD, Dr Jeff Christle PhD, Dr Matt Wheeler, Dr Marco Perez, Dr Francois Haddad , Dr Jason Tso, Dr Samuel Montalvo PhD and Dr. Vic Froelicher.
Non-funded research and educational opportunities for pre-medical, medical, and post-medical US and International graduates are available through Stanford. The Stanford requirements for visiting scholars must be met including verification of external funding.
This website (Cardiology.org) is not endorsed, managed or maintained by any institution or organization (such as the ACC, AHA and ACSM). It is maintained, managed and reviewed by Drs Froelicher and Myers who do their best to provide accurate information and helpful teaching tools. After 28 yrs, we felt that a redo, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), was timely.
There are three new additions to our webpage, NotebookLMs, Educational Course APPs and Infographs. NotebookLMs for our major interests allow you to query what we think are the best available references. These are generated by a Google AI product (notebooklm by google) that allows for searches and queries to be directed to specific sources (pdfs, documents, slides, websites and others). Infographs have been documented as a learning tool superior to text so we have created some for our areas of interest; sort of a picture view of sports cardiology along with central illustrations from important publications. Sam got us started using Codex but Vic has gotten facile with it and has developed Educational Course APPs.
